In a voting of 9-5 the Supreme Court officially admonished on 8 March 2011 University of the Philippines College of Law Dean Marvic Leonen for her statement--"the plagiarism committed in the case of Vinuya v Executive Secretary is unacceptable, unethical and in breach of the high standards of moral conduct and judicial and professional competence expected of the Supreme Court"--and for for leading its faculty to join the call for Supreme Court Associate Justice Mariano Del Castillo to resign over the issue of plagiarism, saying: "UP Law Dean Marvic Leonen is admonished for setting a bad example to our law students."
Which person set bad example and should need admonishing, the one who plagiarized or the one who called the person who plagiarized to straighten up?
